Pumpkins and Ladybugs

I was so excited to carve a pumpkin this year since we now have a child. Macy was so enthralled with the entire process. Clark gave her some of the inside gunk and she inspected it and inspected it. I wish we had had more time so we could have really let her explore...oh well, next year.
Macy LOVED the pumpkin...all she wanted to do was touch it. I kept freaking out because there was a candle lit inside and she was getting all grabby.

I wish we had Clark home more so we could enjoy more fun festivities...I like doing things as a family and making fun family memories.

I have been thinking about what I wanted Macy to be for her first Halloween since I was pregnant. I had all these great extravagant plans...but alas they were not fulfilled. I wanted to do a family theme, but Clark had to work on Saturday night (the night we celebrated) so those plans were foiled. Then I decided that I wanted Macy to be a ladybug because I call her Macy bug. I went looking for a ladybug costume, but the only 2 that I like anywhere were sold out EVERYWHERE. I then decided to make her costume...I didn't think I could do a ladybug, so for a while I was gonna make her an m&m mini. Finally I decided I could make a ladybug costume and it didn't matter if it was the cutest costume anyone had ever seen because Macy can't even walk or understand what Halloween is...so...
On Halloween Macy wore black pants as well, but this was just a little photo shoot I did the next day. I really wanted to get pictures of her on Halloween, but I left my camera at home and was also locked out until around 8'oclock pm.
We had a lot of fun on Halloween. My Aunt and Uncle had a Halloween party at their house with most of my dad's side of the family and their posterity. Macy loved playing with all the little kids. There were a ton of games like pumpkin bowling, fishing, guess how many candy's in a jar, a cupcake walk, and more. All my cousins and their families, and my aunts and uncles were dressed up great. They had some really creative costumes. I hope they do this again next year!
My mom and Julie said that Macy was the longest ladybug they had ever seen. I think they are right...

I love my little ladybug, who is quickly approaching the age of 1...I can't believe it! She is getting more teeth and starting to say a few words including, Daddy, no, doggy, and all done. I can't get over how precious it is to see her develop and learn. Man I love her!
