Guess Who Pulls Herself Up

I thought Macy would never pull herself up...she seemed so far away from doing it, but I was wrong. BAM! Out of nowhere she pulled herself up on the bouncy seat. Then she pulled herself up on the fireplace. I am not a fan of this because the fireplace is marble/tile and has sharp edges. Any suggestions on how to child proof it?

Macy also stood by herself for about 3 seconds before losing her balance. I can't believe she is getting so close to walking. Oh me oh my, my baby is growing up :(/:)

9 Months

My computer is acting really weird, so I can't tell where one picture ends and the other begins...because of this, I have to write at the very bottom. Macy is 9 months old now! In just 3 short months, she will be a whole year. Wow! Where did the time go? I thought it was going to take FOREVER for her to get old, and she already is.

I took her in for her 9 month appointment, and guess what...she is still tall and skinny, but I knew that. She weighs 17 lbs 3 oz, she is 29 inches tall, and her head circumference is 45 cm (I think). That puts her in the 25% for weight, 90% for height, and 75% for head. She is staying on the same curve for height and head, but dropped a little in weight. How am I gonna chunk her up. I started giving her bread and butter, so I hope that helps, and I'm gonna start feeding her avocado.

Macy is moving all over the place now, which is probably another thing keeping her thin (I should follow her example). She crawls on her elbows and knees now. She has progressed to getting her belly off the ground, but she isn't all the way there yet. I don't know if it really matters though, because she gets anywhere she wants to go, much to my displeasure sometimes.

Macy now claps her hands, waves, dances to any music that is played (even church hymns), laughs a lot, copies noises I make, tries to pull up on things and has been successful a couple times, walks in a walker, feeds herself harder foods, loves animals, loves books, pulls everything down from the shelves, eats straight off a banana, scrunches her nose and breathes hard (so cute), screams for attention, and the list goes on and on.

Macy now has a favorite toy. It is a little beenie baby bird. One of our neighbor boys, who is particularly fond of Macy, gave it to her. She will pick it out of any pile of toys. She is also loving blankets. When I put her in her crib, she pulls up her blanket(s) and puts it under her head like a pillow. Her favorite foods are foods that she can feed herself, like cheerios, Gerber puffs, bread, pieces of fruit, etc.

I love my little munchkin...I just want to eat her up! Oh and she has 4 teeth and one on the way, which are so darn cute...now if her hair will just grow in.
