GAS

This is the common thing happening in our house lately. Macy is soooooo full of gas. It is a constant stream of gas coming out of her; I can't even believe it. She is the perfect baby minus the gas. She would be a great sleeper, but having to fart or poop wakes her up and then she wants to eat.

I have had to use antibiotics for about 1-2 weeks and I think this has been making the gas worse. I read that the antibiotics can lower the good bacteria in a baby's stomach and cause gas. I am so excited for when I dont have to take the antibiotics anymore and see if it helps her tummy.

I feel so bad for her because I know how bad gas can feel. I am very grateful that she rarely screams and cries, but mostly just gives complaints. Like I said...such a good baby.

In other news...Oh how I LOVE my baby. She is so precious! She is starting to "engage" meaning she looks at me in the eyes...and she is almost smiling. She is giggling in her sleep though and that is soooo cute. She is super strong...I am amazed. She lifts up her head to look at Clark and myself; melts our hearts. She also holds on to our hands and whatever she gets close to. When I hold her, she lays her head down and rubs my arm up and down.

She hates her baths...she has started screaming the whole time. She is a great little nurser...thank heaven! I really wanted a good eater. At first, nursing was quite difficult. I admit there were some nights when I cried because how hard it was and how it hurt, but now it is starting to feel normal and natural. Nursing was one of the biggest shockers to motherhood along with the lack of sleep. I don't know how it's gonna go when I have another child and HAVE to get up in the morning. As for now, I am sleeping til 11 or 12.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, but my computer is dead and Clark's was in the shop for a while. I will hopefully be posting some pictures soon.
